In the 1970s, a boy got a beautiful perfume bottle. He made a hole in the cap, then he bought small lamp holders of car lamps and lamp bulbs from a hardware company, and he made the first lamp in his life using the perfume bottle as the lamp shade.
Time went by, and the little boy became an architect. By chance, he found many people in charge of lighting enterprises knew nothing about lighting, and almost none of the lights they produced were qualified. He had studied as much at college. So, the interest of making lamps in his childhood plus the obtained knowledge at college evolved into a gradual impulse: He should keep true to himself and develop the best lamp in China for the common people!
So, the lighting company called Comely was founded in 1996. The founder was the little boy, who has since become an architect and today’s entrepreneur and chief lighting designer---Sun Yue. The name of Comely originated from his mission and dream: to create the most innovative, unique and beautiful light in the world.
